Iconic\u00a0I Dream of Jeannie<\/em>\u00a0star\u00a0Barbara Eden<\/strong>, 94, worked with the legendary\u00a0Elvis Presley<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0on one film relatively early in her career. The pair\u2019s Western film\u00a0Flaming Star<\/em>\u00a0debuted in 1960, and all these years later, she still gushes over the actor when thinking about him.<\/p>\n Eden talked to\u00a0People<\/em><\/a>\u00a0about her experience working with Presley. \u201cI remember how good he was. He was a fine actor,\u201d she recalled.<\/p>\n She added that his role in\u00a0Flaming Star<\/em>\u00a0\u201cwas a part that required good acting, and he did it, boy.\u201d<\/p>\n Not only does Eden rave about Presley, but she also shared, \u201cThe whole thing was a beautiful piece.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI just think people didn\u2019t recognize or appreciate what a fine actor he was, and a lovely, lovely man.\u201d<\/p>\n Eden also shared some tidbits about the experience of filming\u00a0Flaming Star.\u00a0<\/em>She revealed she \u201cdidn\u2019t make any money\u201d with the movie\u2019s initial release. She explained that, in part, that happened because Presley\u2019s fans didn\u2019t like that he didn\u2019t sing in the film. It was not a big blockbuster.<\/p>\n Due to fans\u2019 frustrations over the lack of singing, Eden and Presley reconnected to film an additional scene that was added to the movie. She joked, \u201cIt was supposed to be [me] dancing,\u201d and showed Presley with his guitar as Eden was \u201chopping around the table.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI just loved working with him,\u201d Eden recalled.<\/p>\n \u201cI just loved working with him,\u201d Eden recalled.<\/p>\n She remembered Presley having his father and friend visit them on the film set, and they would \u201cplay their guitars and sing in between shots.\u201d<\/p>\n While appearing on a panel at the August 2022 Christmas Con, Eden further reflected on working with Presley.\u00a0People<\/em>\u00a0noted<\/a>\u00a0that Eden called Presley \u201ca delight, \u201cfabulous,\u201d and \u201cso wonderful.\u201d<\/p>\n Eden noted that Presley was \u201ca gentleman\u201d with her. She added that she \u201cdidn\u2019t have a romance with Elvis like most of his leading ladies did.\u201d<\/p>\n Their dynamic was not a\u00a0romantic<\/a>\u00a0one, but Eden recalled that they talked a lot, and he would get her a chair when she came onto the set. \u201cActors don\u2019t do that. You can sit on the floor, they don\u2019t care,\u201d she explained, pointing out how Presley was different.<\/p>\n She also recalled Presley mentioning \u201cthis girl in Germany\u201d he had recently met, who would eventually become his wife,\u00a0Priscilla Presley<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m not too sure, she\u2019s awfully young,\u201d Eden recalled the actor admitting at the time.<\/p>\n \n<\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\nVideo<\/h2>\n
