At 80, Priscilla Presley has finally revealed why she never remarried after Elvis\u2019s death \u2014 and her answer is not what many might expect.<\/p>\n
Their story began in the autumn of 1959 in Bad Nauheim, West Germany. Priscilla was just 14, having recently moved there with her stepfather, a U.S. Air Force officer. At a small party hosted by a friend of Elvis, the young girl met the 24-year-old soldier who was already a rock-and-roll sensation around the world. From the very first moment, Elvis was drawn to Priscilla\u2019s gentle beauty and innocence, qualities that reminded him of his late mother.<\/p>\n
Despite their age gap and her family\u2019s concerns, the two grew close. Elvis patiently won over her parents, who eventually allowed them to see each other.
