She helps the nurses whenever she can, quietly learning what needs to be done and stepping in without hesitation. She plays games with Indy, colors pictures beside her bed, works through math problems, and reads stories aloud when the hours feel especially long. When Indy has enough strength, Rebecca walks with her slowly through the hospital hallways, turning an ordinary walk into a small adventure and a reminder that there is still a world beyond the hospital room.<\/p>\n
She changes the bedding, helps Indy get to the bathroom, gives her baths, and gently washes her hair using the little shower caps provided by the hospital. There are also a hundred little things that no one may ever fully notice\u2014the way she fixes Indy\u2019s blanket, holds her hand, makes her laugh, distracts her during hard moments, or stays awake just to make sure she is not alone. Love is not always found in grand speeches or dramatic gestures. Sometimes, it is found in fresh sheets, a bedtime story, a slow hallway walk, or someone quietly saying, \u201cI\u2019m right here.\u201d<\/p>\n
