THE OSMONDS: A NEW MUSICAL to Make North American Premiere in Provo, Utah

The Covey Center for the Arts will be hosting auditions for the U.S. National Premiere of ‘The Osmonds’ Musical.

The UK show, ‘The Osmonds: A New Musical’ will be making its North American debut in Provo early 2026, and the Covey Center for the Arts is looking for actors and actresses. Auditions will take place on Sept. 19 and 20.

“There’s a lot of reasons I wanted to start it here, because so much happened in this musical [in Provo],” says author, Jay Osmond. “We’ve had great connections with the Covey family.”

Willow Becker with the Covey Center for the Arts said that the production is marketed in collaboration with the Utah Office of Tourism. Each actor will be paid between $2,600-$5,200.

“We outbid companies in the New York area, Houston, and a few others,” Stephen Pullen, General Manager said. “We could have chosen to bring in actors from Los Angeles and New York, but I was convinced that we had the talent here to do it.”

The in-person auditions are only for those who have not completed a video audition. To learn more about in-person auditions, go to Covey’s website or fill out the audition form on Airtable.

‘The Osmonds: A New Musical’

Becker said that the musical tells the story of the success of the boy band, The Osmonds, in the 1970s. The story touches on financial ruin and recovery, but a family that sticks together through it all.

“This musical shows a lot of the successes and failures, and people come out of the theater having a greater respect for every member of my family,” Osmond says.
