Introduction
Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, has recently faced a “storm” of harsh criticism for scheduling a performance on June 25th, which coincides with the 16th anniversary of her father’s death.
She has responded forcefully to these criticisms, explaining that as an opening act for the band Incubus, she has no control over the dates or locations of her performances. She emphasized that she is not the headliner and therefore does not choose the concert schedule.
Paris also highlighted the realities of touring as a supporting artist, stating that she will be traveling in a “soccer mom van” with just her acoustic guitar and her fiancé (who is also her sound engineer), rather than enjoying preferential treatment or a tour bus.
She sarcastically questioned what critics expected her to do, asking, “Sorry guys, we can’t perform on this date?’ F**k you!” to make it clear she will not let negative comments dictate her career or decisions.
This is not the first time Paris Jackson has faced public criticism. She has previously addressed backlash regarding her fashion choices, particularly a sheer outfit worn at Paris Fashion Week, and even her armpit hair. She has consistently defended her right to live her life and pursue her artistic endeavors on her own terms.
